Big Sur Day 4

Sitting around at campsite right by the river

We saw one of the sights I've been so excited to see today!  We started off the day just hanging out at the campground. Then we headed off to another state park called Julia burns state park which is about 10miles south down PCH. We bundled up and headed out on the waterfall overlook trail and made our way to beautiful Mcway falls. It is the only waterfall on the west coast that goes directly into the ocean. It was just beautiful!  Lots of photographs later, we hiked a little more along the coast. Then we went back into the park and had a picnic on this gorgeous creek full of ferns and Lilly's. Then it was back to camp where I did laundry, the kids played in the river and Tim worked on the lighting issues with his truck (he fixed it!). The rest of the evening was dinner, a long walk, packing up and finishing up the night with a game of UNO. Tomorrow we head out early for a 10 hour drive to Northern California and redwood national park. Big Sur has been fun and is just gorgeous!
